University of Kwazulu-Natal UKZN Online Application Documents Required

The application supporting documents required for prospective applicants applying to UKZN have been grouped into two.

There are required supporting Documents for UKZN online applications for South African students.

There are also required supporting Documents for UKZN online applications for international students.

All applicants must meet and provide all the supporting documents required for applying for study admission at the University of Kwazulu-Natal online.

UKZN Online Application Documents For South African Applicants

  1. A certified copy of Identification Documents (ID)
  2. A certified copy of the National Senior Certificate/Matric
  3. Certified copies of Grade 12 certificate (Grade 12 learners)
  4. Certificate or O/A Level or relevant school leaving certificate
  5. Certified copies of your degree certificate(s), academic record, and certificate of conduct, if you attended other universities.
  6. South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluations if the previous qualification(s) was/were obtained at foreign universities (outside South Africa).
  7. A research proposal/proposed title of the dissertation/thesis if you are applying for a Master’s Degree or PhD
  8. First-time undergraduate applicants will have to apply through www.cao.ac.za which is the Central Applications office.
  9. Please ensure to use reference APPN (followed by your student number) when making the application fee payments.
  10. Please allow the system 24 hrs to 48 hrs to clear your payment.

UKZN Online Application Documents For International Applicants

  1. A certified copy of the home country passport
  2. Proof from Universities of South Africa that you qualify for admission to degree studies in South Africa
  3. Proof of English proficiency
  4. A valid study visa to study in South Africa
