2. Click Apply Online
3. Complete the forms and click Continue
4. Confirm the email sent to you
5. Continue to Complete the forms (Provide accurate information as required at each section of the forms)
6. Upload all supporting documents
7. Click on Submit to send your Ukzn online application.

UKZN Online Application Closing Date

Closing dates for the University of KwaZulu-Natal Undergraduate Programmes are 31st July 2022 for Medicine students and 30th September 2022 for all other programs.

University of KwaZulu-Natal Application Fees

The UKZN online application fee is R250. This money is non-refundable and it does not count towards school fees payment.

Applicants going to the UKZN must pay this application of R200 to have their applications processed.

UKZN application requirements for undergraduate, and postgraduate applications, both South Africans and international applicants are as seen below;

UKZN Application Required Documents

• A valid copy of your Identity Documents.
• A valid copy of your National Senior certificate.
• Authorized copies of academic record and certificate of conduct from your previous university.
• Proof of English proficiency for international applicants from non-English speaking countries.
• South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluations if the previous qualification(s) was/were obtained at foreign universities (outside South Africa).
• A research proposal/proposed title of the dissertation/thesis if you are applying for a Master’s Degree or Ph.D.
• A valid study visa to study in SA if you are an international applicant.
• Before applying online please make sure that you have read the guidelines above.
• Please ensure that you have the HESA/SAQA documents to be uploaded in order to complete your application.
• Please ensure to use reference APPN (followed by your student number) when making application fee payments.
• Please allow the system 24 hrs. to 48 hrs. to clear your payment.
• South African First-time Undergraduate applicants must apply via CAO at: www.cao.ac.za
