Humboldt Research Fellowship 2023 is finally opened for the 2023/2024 academic year and calling for applications from students from around the world to apply for the scholarship opportunity.
Humboldt Research Fellowship is funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation which supports academics from all over the world with above-average qualifications.
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation enables highly-qualified scientists and scholars from abroad who are just embarking on their academic careers and who completed their doctorates less than four years ago to spend extended periods of research (6–24 months) in Germany.
Humboldt Research Fellowship scholarships are fully funded scholarships for international students. Scholarship holders can benefit from the foundation’s wide range of sponsorship services.
This scholarship is solely offered for post-doctoral studies. Scholarship packages include a monthly fellowship of 3,150 EUR and additional financial support for accompanying family members and items.
The research outline is carried out in cooperation with academic hosts at research institutions in Germany. Applicants choose their own topic of research and their host in Germany.
Details of the research outline including information on the intended duration of the fellowship must be agreed upon with the intended host before applying. Short-term visits for study and training purposes or for attending conferences are not eligible for sponsorship.
